Art Contest Terms & Conditions

(1) Knowing Russia – A.Pushkin! Art Contest runs from March 20th, 2014 to April 20th, 2014.
All entries are to be postmarked no later than 10.00pm Singapore time on April 20th, 2014 to:

(2) Art Contest is open for K2, primary and secondary school students in Singapore.
All nationalities, races and skill levels are encouraged to enter the contest.
(3) Category winners will be chosen from the following categories:
1. 5 - 6 years old (K2)
2. 6 - 12 years old (Primary School)
3. 12 - 16 years old (Secondary School)
(4) Entries must be submitted using the guidelines:
Artwork may be hand-drawn.
It can feature the founder of modern Russian literature – Alexander Pushkin (portrait, life and career); can be related to Pushkin legacy (narrative poems, verse poems, drama, prose, fairy tales in verse).
It can be full-colour or black & white. It's up to you!
Suggestions:
Use your artistic license and do what you think is best, but bear in mind these suggestions:
-- No glitter please -- it's messy!
-- No religious content.
-- No political content.
-- No content with obscene and sexual connotation.
-- No tracing of other people's content.
-- Your art does not need to be large. We actually like art about 11.7" x 16.5" (42cm x 29.7cm – A3) in size.
-- Package your art well so that it does not get bent up. Definitely write DO NOT BEND! on both sides of the package.
-- Whitespace does not look very appealing. We suggest putting colour on the entire piece.
(5) Submitted artwork must be your original creation!
(6) You must submit ONLY ONE entry.
(7) All contestants will be required to agree to the Art Contest Terms & Conditions in order to enter.
(8.) All contestants must register for this contest by submitting the entry form which is available at Siglap South Community Centre and Russian Language for Kids.
(9) The Art Contest will be judged by judges appointed by Russian Language for Kids / Siglap South Community Centre.
(10) Prizes are as follows:
The Grand Prize Winner will (a) receive $100; (b) see their winning art placed on the Art Contest winners webpage with links to their personal, school.
The 2nd and 3rd place winners will each win $75. Contest winners will also be acknowledged on the RussianLanguageforKids website and Joo Chiat, Our Home Facebook page.
(11) The Contest Sponsor's rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to this Contest and the awarding of the Prizes.
(12) All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned.
(13) All prize winners will be notified by email and phone.
(14) The prize presentation ceremony will be at the Siglap South CC Open House at Siglap South Community Centre on Saturday April 26th, 2014 at 2.00pm.
(15) All submitted art works will be exhibited at Siglap South Community Centre from Saturday April 26th, 2014 to May 26th, 2014. There will be a public voting on the exhibition days and on Joo Chiat, Our Home Facebook page for all these submitted art works. The prize will be given by Russian Language for Kids school.
(16) The Contest Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, illegible, incomplete, postage-due, garbled or misdirected entries or entries that have been submitted through illicit means.
(17) The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest should an external circumstances arise which are beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsor. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. This Contest will run in accordance with these Contest Rules, subject to amendment by the Contest Sponsor. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, amend, modify or terminate this Contest or the Rules at any time in its sole discretion and without notice.
(18) Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.
(19) The main Sponsors and Organisers are Siglap South Community Centre Management Committee, Russian Language for Kids and Russian Club in Singapore.
