Впервые в Сингапуре организуется САБАНТУЙ!    Приглашены все!!!

ОДЕЖДА: татарские костюмы или яркая одежда

ЧТО ПРИНЕСТИ:
- татарские блюда (белиши, чак-чак и другие бюда, которые легко делить и есть);
- одеяло/подстилку;
-одноразовые тарелки и стаканы;
-напитки для взрослых и детей;
-два подарка для своего ребенка, так как будет игры.

TATAR'S SABANTUY in SINGAPORE
 DRESS CODE: Tatar costumes or colorful cloths
DATE: May 24, 2014.
 Time: 4:30-7:30pm
EACH FAMILY MUST BRING TO SHARE:
•    Tatar dishes  to share (peremech, belish, chak-chak and other food easy to eat during the gathering etc)
•    Blanket
•    Disposable plates,  cutlery, cups
•    Drinks for kids & adults,
•    Bring two gifts for your owner kids. We will run games for kids and this gifts will be their prizes.

PLACE: Botanic Garden, Lawn in front of the Shaw Foundation Stage.

PS We are organizing SABANTUY for the FIRST EVER time in Singapore. All volunteers are welcome. We are doing this for our families and kids to keep heritage alive.

INFORMATION ABOUT SABANTUY:

Sabantuy is a Bashkir, Tatar and Idel-Uralian summer festival, that dates back to the Volga Bulgarian epoch. At first Sabantuy was a festival of farmers in rural areas, but it later became a national holiday and now is widely celebrated in the cities.
 The main distinctive elements of Sabantuy include the traditional sporting competitions such as köräş (Tatar wrestling), horse racing, race-in-sack, pillar-climbing, egg-in-spoon-in-mouth-racing, sacks-battle on the crossbar, pot smashing, finding a coin in a qatıq (a beverage made from sour milk), and other contests. Such activities take place on the mäydan, which would usually be located at the edge of a forest.

A tradition, called sörän, was held to collect a fare for guests of the festival and prizes for the winners of the contests. Qarğa botqası (Rook's porridge), a ritual porridge, was cooked before the Sabantuy to treat children in the village. Another tradition was praying at the cemetery.

In the recent years Sabantuy is also often combined with the folk and pop music festivals, as well as accordion music festivals, named Play, accordion! (Uyna, ğarmun!)

Группа новая, поэтому праздники все еще в будущем...

Капец, я тоже каждый день на форуме, а эту тему пропустила, только что заметила... 
Я хоть и не имею отношения к этой национальности (наверное  ), но все равно было бы интересно посетить подобного рода мероприятие, что-то новое узнать о культуре других народов.

Вообщем неплохо бы загодя такие объявления выкладывать, и тему обновлять, поддерживая в актуальном состоянии до дня события.
